New Pc doesn't meet Windows 11 System Requirements

Hi folks 🙂

Just been building a PC - intel i7-12400, Asus TUF B760 with an NvME. Trying to install W11, it's saying the pc doesn't meet system requirements.

Launch CSM is off, Secure Boot is set to Windows UEFI, TPM is on and detected.

Intel rapid storage - on, I haven't checked virtualisation could that stop W11 installing? The pc is a brand new self build so no previous OS's.

I'm a bit lost. Any help much appreciated.

🙂

Hello Titch

Try running the PC Health Check app, it should tell you what you need for windows 11 to install.

Hi Nate,

Thanks for the response, however we don't even have Windows on the pc yet.

We're trying windows 10, and then we'll run the health check tool. However we're now having an issue finding the nvme drive on install. Am I right in thinking we need the rapid storage drivers off Asus's website?

Kind regards

🙂

No, you don't need the Rapid Storage driver.

It's normal for your drive not to show in the bios until windows is installed. You should see your drive and be able to format it at the beginning of the windows installation.

In the bios on the boot tab, set your usb flash drive as the first boot device, then hit F10 and Enter to save and exit. On the reboot, the windows installation media should show up along with your drive.

How does it go, does this get windows installing?

Hi Nate,

The drive shows up in BIOS, but no in the windows install list.

Cheers

Ok,

If the drive isn't showing during the windows installation, it's possible you may need the IRST driver.

Here are some troubleshooting steps from ASUS. - [Windows 11/10] Troubleshooting - Cannot find drives when installing Windows 11/10 | Official Suppor...

Hi Nate,

We downloaded the intel rapid storage driver and managed to installed windows 10. The update checked told us the TPM wasn't enabled. Turns out it needs to be on Discrete Firmware - and not Discrete Software.

That passed the health check and we're now upgrading to 11.

Cheers for the pointers

You're welcome

Excellent, good to hear windows is installing.

In the bios, Advanced tab, PCH-FW Configuration, make sure PTT is enabled. This enables the TPM.
