Need Help Asap! New Build problem

So i recently upgraded my system, i bought a Crosshair V Formula-Z, msi r9 280x and a corsair CX750m. i built my system with no problem and booted a windows 7 ultimate disk into a ssd. after that i started updating my pc and installing drivers when my pc just cut off, i looked inside the case and the cpu cooler and 2 case fans stopped but my gpu, 3rd case fan, motherboard light and psu were all still on? i also had a f.f code on the motherboard. i turned it all off and after about 30 attempts of turning it off and on it booted again. after about 2 hours it crashed again! im really stuck and need advice ive checked all the cables to my mobo and ive tried moving my ram around.

Kind of sounds like a power problem...

Do you have another PSU you could test with the system? have you carefully checked the power cables..the actual contacts themselves to see if any are short or displaced at both the board end and PSU end. Then reseat carefully. Generally check connections and seating for all components.

Yes I've checked all my cables and it's not that. I downloaded speccy and noticed that my ram timings and MHz had been changed from 1600mhz to 882mhz could it be that?

Had been changed? Someone else been playing with the computer? ;-)Have you cleared CMOS?
