My new build - any advice?

Hey guys this is my first post -

I sold my rig last weekend and im in the process of building my new Z97 Rig.

OLD RIG SPECS

AMD 8350 OC'd to 5.2 GHZ
16 GB Corsair Veng 1866 DDR3
H100i liquid cooled
HAF X Case
Cross hair formula Z mobo
R9 290x Tri-X Sapphire
850W Corsair PSU
840 Samsung SSD

This time around im gonna be steppings things up a bit 😉

NEW RIG SPECS

Intel 4790K
H110 Liquid Cooler
G.Skill 2400 Ram
G.Skill Ram Cooler
Cosmos ii Case
Samsung EVO 840 Series SSD
Asus Formula VII Mobo (once it comes out) - With OC panel
EVGA 1,000W PSU w/ Sleeved cables

I need help picking out a GFX card. Not sure if I should go for another 290X or Nvidia.

Well.. what do you guys think?

looks good, just dont mix ram kits on the intel boards.
formula will go out mid july'ish ( if im not mistaken )

What do you mean by font mix ram kits? The g.skill will be okay on the formula mobo, right?

im thinking of 1 kit as in the amount of ram chips in one package.
you can get away whit mixed kits on AMD but intel is picky there and ppl almoast always ends up whit problem whit it.
not menny think of the problem that can happen when doing it.
so just saying it 🙂

and the 2400mhz will probably work on the board ( look at g-skils ram calc on their site )

G.skill will do fine everything looks good to me also..

Concider two SSDs BigS. One for OS and all that stuff that just won´t go anywhere but C-drive, 240-ish GB, then a separate one for games, 500-ish GB, good choice on the Samsung btw.
Keep approx. 20% of space empty on the SSDs.

Any suggestions of GFX Card?

No RAID on my part, I just let them run independently. Is there any noticeable performance difference in RAID and non-RAID with these fast SSDs (noticeable for the non-hardcore enthusiast)?
I use an 840 series for OS and an 840 PRO for my sims.

Graphics card according to needs, what do you use your rig for?

R9 290x or 780Ti, doesn't matter. Both are amazing. It's all about personal preference.
