My first build targeting performance and silence

After a while and by doing extensive research online and watching several YouTube videos, I came down with the following setup:

My goal is to build a compact/quiet system that without many modifications will be efficient for gaming in the next 5+ years and good workstation in the years to come. I want to achive that by loading the case with the best of the best available at this point on the market without going overboard on some componenets (like the video card). I am not familiar with overclocking but I'll like to give it a try if I can.

Can this case handle all these components?
Can my video card be upgraded to something else that will not be producing much noice & heat and not be long enough to allow me having both hard drive cages in the case?
Am I using all the features of the motherboard or is overkill?
Is it possible that PSU to handle all of that?

My goal in the next years (if needed) is to upgrade only the GPU and be happy with the rest of it.

Please review my system and help me with your knowledge. That will be my first build and looking forward on your response.

Your system is good to go, but I am assuming some upgrades in the future to make it the long living gamer platform you are hoping for.

First up, your CPU will be good for a long while. So do not focus your upgrade there at all. However your VGA will need upgrading for sure. If you want a gaming system you are going to need a VGA that can do the business and they have active fans or are water cooled. Sorry can not put it any other way. Your selection will allow some of the eyecandy at moderate resolutions. But it will not allow your games to be played with all the eyecandy on. The VGA will be good for normal every day use and stuff like Microsoft Office for years to come.

With the Noctua cooler and fans you can not go too wrong regarding the silence... :cool:

If you want silent graphic card... I had very good experience with the Asus ones equipped with the DC II system...

I'm not too much into gaming (actually not at all), but I assume going with a HD7850 or even higher (HD7970) would give you some kind of assurance for the future... - one thing I would certainly change though... the PSU! I would go rather in the 750-850W range...

Asus Direct CUII TOP a good choice. Cool and quite. But if combined with Noctua D14, you need some tape to isolate the back plate of DirectCU II card and D14 fan bracket.
