Motherboard compatibility with ram

Hello, i am the owner of a RoG MAXIMUS V GENE motherboard and I am now planning to install 2x CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 ( http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-8gb-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m1a1600c10 ) , are the Ram memories compatible with the motherboard? Because i was looking in the online support manuals for my motherboard and i couldn't find this exact type of Ram in the lists and now i have second thoughts, so i'd like someone more qualified to tell me if it's alright to buy them.

Yes, it will be compatible. As long as the memory is DDR3, and not SO-DIMM (NOT SO-DIMM, MAKE SURE IT IS NOT SO-DIMM), it will work with your motherboard just fine.

Hi vagiterian.
If I read your post correctly you intend to get 2 x kits CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 as listed in your link. Be aware that mixing kits is not a good idea, even from the same batch and same spec. Best get 4x4 kit for better stability if 16GB is what you want.

F*ck I completely missed that.

You do not want to mix kits. There is some chance it will work, but it is not very likely. If you want 16GBs of RAM, you want a 2x8GB or 4x4GB kit. It'll also be cheaper that 2x 2x4GB kits.

CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 is 1x unit of 8gb. so i can't install 2x units of the same kind?

There is no guarantee at all that they will work together, and if they do work if they will work well.

Always use one kit, never use more.
