Hi Everyone,
I have an Asus Hero X Motherboard, CPU Intel Core i7-8700K,
32 GB memory:
Row:1[BANK1/channelA-DIMM2]-16 GB PC4-23900 DDR4 SDRAM Corsair CMK16GX4M1B3000C15
Row:3[BANK3/channelB-DIMM2]-16 GB PC4-23900 DDR4 SDRAM Corsair CMK16GX4M1B3000C15
GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
I want to add another 2 x 16 GB of memory modules to make a total of 64 GB.
As I can’t find online the above memory, so I would like to ask the question ?
What is the fastest and most compatible memory that I can add to this motherboard configuration?
Please supply make, model number and links to where I can buy the memory?
I am not interested in overclocking the mem or CPU
Thank you for your help.

Hello Flourgrader,

I wouldn't add another memory kit, it won't help with gaming performance plus you're just asking for problems by combining memory kits. If you want faster memory, you should get a whole new faster 16GB-32GB memory kit.

For the fastest memory, go with a 16GB (2x8GB) kit, somewhere in the 4000MHz range. 16GB is enough for gaming and is all I use, see my specs.

For 32GB which is more than enough for gaming, go with say 3600MHz.

For gaming, you want speed not capacity, I wouldn't even consider a 64GB memory kit for a gaming pc.

G.Skill Trident Z is a popular brand, they come in RGB too.

This memory is on G.Skill's QVL list for ASUS Z370 and Z390 motherboards.

Hello Nate152 ,
Thank you for the Info, it was very much appreciated.
From your advise I won't bother doing an upgrade.
I will stick with the 32 GB I all ready have in my PC.
Have a Good Day.
