Corsair Dominator GT or Dominator Platinum are both very good also.

Good choice too but need to beware the heat spreader as may too high for some CPU heat sink.

Would you not have the same issues with the Ripjaws? Or are they low profile heatsinks? I confess to never having seen them aside from pictures.

But I have had this problem myself so I had to take a fan off my V6GT which doesn't really reduce its performance much.

I am running Noctua D14 and I dont have any issue. I am not being bias but GSKill work well with Asus.

The Ripjaws fit fine under things like the NH-D14 they are pretty low profile. Dominators too fit fine if you take off the top heat-sink frilly bits, which is easy to do and doesn't affect then in any way. If you are watercooling any of them will be fine.

If you don't want more than 8 GB you could go with something like http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=437 fast, high quality, will run as 2 dual channel kits and been tested on the MVF.

Of course there is a RAM QVL for that board maybe pick something off that.

Still not sure what's your CPU cooling solution... it would be important though for figuring out the memories... 🙂

My first vote would be also for the Dominator GT series... On a second thought, you may want to consider the GSkill Trident X series too... - the color scheme fits with black and red and you also could remove the top of the heatsinks..
