MB Upgrade

Hello all,
I'm in the process of and considering upgrading my Rampage Extreme IV.. I've searched through ASUS offerings and have found perhaps too many Motherboard options and have come down apples and oranges. Anyone have a legitimate upgrade for this board? Suggestions?
I've come to the conclusion that my socket 2011 is dated and my sticks of 16 gig RAM may no longer be a viable/movable option either.

What CPU are you going with?

It all depends on your budget and what you do with your PC. On the Intel side, you have X299 and Z370. On AMD's side, you have Ryzen and Threadripper.
