So I am building my very first computer from ground up before that I usually get them pre built my system I am moving from is a 6700k with a maximus VIII Board. I would like to get some advice as all my parts arrive tomorrow.
I am getting a Maximus XI Hero Wifi board that will use a 9700k. when I get the motherboard out of the box is it best to update the bios right away? I know 10 years ago they said updating bios was risky but you know times have changed.
Can I download the bios update instead of using a usb?
And the other question is what is the best bios settings for a 9700k the cooler is a Noctua NH-D15 I do not plan to manually overclock it instead i'll use the turbo boost to 4.9ghz.
