Maximus XI Formula CrossChill - do I need water?

Hi
Like topic, do I need to use or fill CrossChill water block? I'm going to buy Maximus XI Formula or Extreme.
I'm not planning use custom water solution. For CPU I alredy bought Corsair H150i AiO and I have ROG Strix 1080 Ti which it doesn't have water block.
Should I sell H150i and make custom water loop? Or just wait for Maximus XI Extreme?

Do you have the XI Formula? If so, where did you get it? Nobody from ASUS has been able to tell when or if it will be made available... if you do own one, you may be the first person to get one that's not a reviewer/youtuber.

Edit: didnt read your post close enough, i see you said you plan to buy it. Best of luck, let us know if you can find one. XI Extreme is supposed to be released "in the next couple months" according to ASUS support. XI Formula has already been realeased (officially), but it's more rare than BigFoot

Formula was available in one of the major IT stores in Poland for a while... Now I'm more decided on Extreme (still patiently waiting) than Formula but future tell the truth.

I would never left X99 or X299 chance for Z390 chipset.
Only adavantage of Z390 is Maximux XI Gene.
Rampage VI Apex is my style motherboard.

Why I can't find some i9-9820X... I could buy everything else for 300 euro.
Rampage VI Apex brand new unboxed 250 euro, 60 euro CPU block. That would be deal of year.
Special now when I have close performance to Turing with Poseidon GTX1080Ti.
I never had better and more silent GPU fans, could work on 80% speed not bother me.
73C load without liquid, this week when I put under water I expect around 60C max.

Hi Vlada! You really seem to like the Gene! Im curious, how come you like it so much versus the other Z390 boards? Im asking because I plan on build a Z390, and I don't really want to use the regular Hero XI. So can you tell me what it is you like so much about the Gene? Im considering getting the XI Apex maybe, depending on the cost.
