Hello to anyone who reads this.

I would appreciate any help in clarifying whether you can use Samsung SSDs on the DIMM.2 slot for RAID 0 bootable configuration, or does it work only with Intel branded SSDs.

Thanks for any help.

I don't understand which configuration is better.*

You wrote:

No, you’re OK at X8 on the GPU as the 2080Ti is the first card to saturate PCIE Gen 3.0 X8 bandwidth

This sounds that a NVLink setup with 16x and 8x makes no difference - comparison to 16x 16x
Then you wrote:

*I’m about to change it all though as after going to 2080 Ti cards they actually do saturate X8 bandwidth so I’m ditching VROC completely and using a single intel U2 drive, changing the DIMM.2_1 to PCH so I get *16 on PCIE16X16_1 and PCIEX16_3.*

This sounds that 16x 16x is better than 16x 8x.

If I check e.g. this page it seems that it makes no difference - thanks no NVLINK:

I'm confused ;-)*
