Maximus XI Extreme and Formula ?

i've pre ordered the Extreme because it was only like 80$ difference with the formula but i cant find any Advantage difference between the 2?
anyone have any idea?
Also not sure what this means

* When the M.2_2 Socket 3 is operating in SATA mode, SATA port 2 will be disabled.*

Im upgrading this year going with

Intel i9 9900k
Maximus extreme XI z390
EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti XC ULTR
( im keeping my RAM G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB DDR4 3400 )
( im keeping my PSU Corsair Professional Series 1050W )

Any Toughs?

If you use a SATA M.2 drive it will disable one of the SATA ports

where did you preordered the Extreme? In US?


they have different sizes, and extreme has a special dimm.2 slot near the ram slots

They main key differences is
Extreme = geared for superior overclocking (More settings)
Formula = geared towards watercool enthusiast

it was memoryexpress but since it's only coming in december i choose formula
