Maximus X Formula with 8700K NEW BUILD ADVICE

Hello all,

I posted in another thread regarding a new build centered around the Ryzen 2700x but after more research I have settled on the 8700K and Maximus X Formula

Wanted top run this parts list by you guys:

CPU: Core i7-8700K
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ RGB 32GB
MOBO: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X FORMULA
GFX: GTX 980Ti for now (Re-Unisg my exisitng GPU until 1180 comes out)
Cooler: NZXT Kraken x62
Storage: Samsung 970EVo NVMe M.2 500GB (OS) + Samsung 970EVo NVMe M.2 1TB (Games)
PSU: Corsair AX1200i 1200 Watt (Re-using Old existing PSU)
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

I absolutely need 32GB RAM for flight simulator use.

A few concerns:
1) Can you please recommend a 32GB kit from the G.Skill TridentZ RGB line? Should I get 2x16GB or 4x8GB, which is best?
2) Will the NZXT AIO Kraken x62 be sufficient for the 8700k and hitting 5GHz or should I go with x72 ?
3) I did not see the SAMSUNG 970 Evo PCIe NVMe M.2s in the QVL for the Maximus X Formula. Will they work?

The QVL is from 2017 and the 970 PRO and 970 EVO were available for purchase beginning May 7, 2018. So I think they would work. I think the QVL needs to be updated.

Hey guys, I'm back. I meant to share my benchmark results sooner than this but didn't get the chance. Here is what I'm getting in Cinebench, Firestrike, and Samsung Magician with the system all at stock speeds. Comparing my system to other similar systems at stock this looks comparable. Id love to get your input
