Looking for feedback on my new build

I decided to replace my 7 year old rig and before I click the buy button I would like to do a run down on my parts, maybe someone has a better insight whether I am making a mistake.

ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Thermaltake ToughPower Grand TPG-0850M - SLI/ CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Gold

Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core

G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200)

Corsair Neutron Series GTX CSSD-N240GBGTXB-BK 2.5" 240GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

I am going to reuse my ATX mid tower, its an older larger Antec, I like the layout with the separate compartments, cant really find anything that has the same for a reasonable price. Eventually buy a cheap case and install my current rig in it, I was going to just upgrade my old build, but since I need new mobo and CPU, I think it makes more sense to just build a new one and pass my old one down to my kids.

This is 1500$ and that is about as much as I can spend, +- 100$ if it makes sense.

Uses: Couple of games (EvE online and EQN Landmark) , Landmark is actually the catalyst for my upgrade, my current rig just cant handle it with the old AMD Athlon dual core cpu, motherboard is ASUS M2Sli with DDR2 RAM, any decent ram upgrade is overpriced for DDR2.
The GPU is an ASUS GTX 260, it works great with everything except Landmark. Now the game is in beta and not optimized at all, I might not even care too much for it on official release, but I just feel that it is time to keep up with the hardware so I am upgrading.

Any thoughts before I create the largest wall of text ROG has ever seen?

EDIT: I have closed BETA keys for Landmark the game if anyone interested.

IF you can afford it, go for the 4gig memory on the graphic card.

other then that i personaly see no problem.
if you go down to 2133mh on ram you can use those monney on the GPU.
normal day to day you see no diffrence realy.

Unfortunately that would put my budget in the angry wife zone, I plan to abuse one of the holidays later on and get a second 2g ASUS card and run in SLI IF I see the need for more memory.
Related question: Using my current GTX 260 in SLI with the GTX 760 is a possibility? I have no clue how SLI works, I just know it does something more then a single card.

It seems OK to me… - just double check your old case if it can house the Seidon 240M!

Yes thank you, that might actually be a problem so I think I will switch to a CORSAIR Hydro Series H60.

This is my old case btw, I don't think I can fit the double height cooler, correct me if I am wrong:

Yeah, that case won't house the Seidon cooler... at least not without some mods...

However, I would strongly discourage you to go with the H60... most high end air-coolers are better than that... - I would rather get a bigger, but still single 120mm AIO cooler... like the H80i for example, or similar...

Thanks for the tip, now I am looking at the Corsair Hydro Series H90 High Performance 140mm liquid cooler, while also looking at case that would support a 140mm fan and debating a Corsair case that would support a 240mm Corsair cooler.

This would be less stressful if I didn't have homeland budget security all over my case. No pun intended.

If you can get a del with the "homeland budget security", then it would be better to go with a cooler with biggest radiator... 2x120mm or 2x140mm...
