LED colour advice

Hi,

I have a red and black themed pc build and can't decide to go with red leds, or white....

I have red cables and the white would show everything very nice, but i always thought red would look better until now, and red might look too red....

Arghh man, can people post me some pics up please, and any advice is appreciated.

Red kill contrasts, white do the opposite, and show your hardware..

A slight purple UV can be added, for ambiance along with those colors..

I think both those color look great..

Just dont blue......

Mystic = red, uv
Pedant = White

red in overflow, and only the butt naked strumpets are missing.. ;o)

why not mix white and red? 70% white and 30% red

Don't do red LEDs. Whitepaw is right, it kills the contrast so everything in your system is just bathed in red (trust me, I have red LEDs in my outgoing build right now). White LEDs work nicely if you get RGB-white LEDs so the "white" actually contains the various color spectrums and highlights each color in your hardware. Just plain bright white is a little harsh IMO.

My current dilemma is watercooling tubing color. "UV red" isn't red at all, it's pumpkin orange. I'm using UV cathodes (with red LED "accents" on my XSPC blocks), now I'm considering ditching the uv red tubing I bought and going with white instead.

the white gets purple in UV Chris, but you knew this i am sure..

yes i know the red uv tubing look crap in uv (but i think i have had some brand that did look cool), the orange/yellow and green is awesome tho, together with uv..

Paws old nest, some years ago..

The district!!!!!

Hardware drown in the color red, but you feel warm.. ;o)

TS, Put a 24 red led strip on the back of you monitor, it really add ambiance..

Agreed, Whitepaw. Except instead of a red led strip, I use http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50192365/ so I can change the color with my mood. 🙂

Anyway, I actually just hooked up the UV cathodes & LED strip and held the "uv dark red" tubing up to it, and it's not SO bad. It's definitely orange, but accented with the red LEDs in my XSPC blocks it'll do.

Thanks for the tips guys, i was 90% thinking bitfenix alchemy white LEDs, so think this might be the way forward 🙂

Love the red glow behind those monitors, might have to do that to mine.

As for what colour coolant to use, i'd go with Mayhems UV Blood Red, awesome!
