Laptop regularly blue-screens & restarts, but only on Youtube pages?

Hey, guys. No idea if this is the right forum, but I'm at a loss, and am really hoping for some help.

I have a recurring issue where my laptop will blue screen suddenly, or crash and restart -- but only ever on Youtube pages. It's happening more regularly, and I'm getting worried about long-term damage to my machine.

I'm using an Asus Tuf F15, and it's barely a year old. I find it extremely unrealistic that a simple Youtube page is enough to make it crash, let alone daily. It's not like I do anything questionable with it, either; it's for gaming, writing, social media, and watching shows. I have both Malwarebytes and Avast installed for antivirus protection, run regular virus scans, and defrag regularly. All drivers are also up to date.

These "Youtube crashes" happen on both Chrome and Firefox. I do have adblockers installed, since it's good practice. A friend installed a temperature log, and it's undeniable that the machine only overheats while on Youtube pages, and that the overheating is what's causing the crashes and BSODs. Previously, it only happened once a month, but has now increased to several times a week, if not daily. I'm worried that the constant overheating is causing long-term damage.

Here's where I'm hoping you guys know more about the issue. Recently, I've seen many articles and posts explaining that Youtube is purposefully creating an increased strain on machines running the site with adblockers. I can't help but wonder if that's exactly what's happening here. Because again, I can put strain on it in any other context, and it's perfectly fine. And five minutes later, it'll crash or BSOD on a simple Youtube page. For a machine that can do anything else, I'm unable to believe that's normal.

So if Youtube is going to melt my computer because I'm using adblockers on my own property, what can I do about this? What kind of damage should I be worried about this causing, and how can I prevent it? Is there any software that can prevent this from happening? What other solutions have been found?

Any advice would be incredibly appreciated. This laptop was a deeply meaningful gift, and I want to keep it in the best condition that I can. Thanks for the help!
