Hello ROG Community,
I'm experiencing an issue where my wireless keyboard (Logitech G915) and mouse (Logitech G903), connected via a USB dongle, are waking up my Windows 10 Pro (22H2) system from sleep, despite what I believe are the correct settings in both BIOS and Windows.
Despite these settings, the issue persists.
To give some background, I recently switched from an MSI motherboard to an ASUS board and have faced multiple issues since then. These include problems with Fan Expert 4, AI Suite 3, and Armory Crate, where my fans were running at 100% until I did a CMOS clear. Due to these issues, I’ve stopped using these ASUS software tools as they seem unreliable.
I’ve updated the BIOS to the latest version (MB: B550 Plus Wifi II), but this problem with the keyboard and mouse waking the system is frustrating.
To address any potential concerns about drivers: I’ve already used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to ensure a clean installation, and I’ve reinstalled all relevant drivers, including graphics, audio, LAN, wireless, and chipset. I’ve taken these steps to ensure this isn’t a driver-related issue.
Has anyone else faced a similar issue or had any suggestions on resolving this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Given your recent motherboard switch and ongoing issues, try checking for any BIOS updates or settings specific to USB power management on your ASUS board, as these can sometimes affect how USB devices interact with sleep settings. Additionally, make sure there are no power management settings in Windows that might be overriding your device manager settings; you might need to recheck the advanced power settings or even test with a different USB port to see if that changes anything.

It turns out that both the mouse and the keyboard (yes the keyboard is in the mouse section and not keyboard settings) are affected by these settings.
I hope this helps someone else who is troubleshooting the same problem sometime.

you’ve already covered many bases, but one potential solution you might try is to disable the “Allow this device to wake the computer” setting for all USB devices, not just the keyboard and mouse. To do this, go to Device Manager, expand the “Universal Serial Bus controllers” section, and for each USB Root Hub device, right-click, select “Properties,” then the “Power Management” tab, and uncheck “Allow this device to wake the computer.” Additionally, ensure that there are no power management settings in the BIOS related to USB that could override the Windows settings. If the issue persists, consider checking for any firmware updates for your keyboard and mouse or temporarily using wired peripherals to identify if the issue is specifically related to the wireless connection.
