Is it worth moving to an ASUS Crosshair Viii X570 Extreme from a CH 8 Formula?

I have been using a Crosshair Viii X570 Formula board for almost 2 years. First using a 3950x CPU and then eventually a 5950x. It took about a year an a half to stabilize the board, after a bunch of BIOS updates it finally has been stable since August, no issues..

Its paired with an EVGA 3090 and 64 GB of 3600 memory. I use it on the built-in wi-fi since my home is not wired. I play a lot of world of warships, ff14 Online, and Counterstrike. I also use the rig for working remotely. It has to be online and functional for me if I need it.

So my question: Been completely stable for 2 months, will I gain anything at all that would be worth upgrading to the Crosshair Viii X570 Extreme? With AM5 basiclly under a year away would my money be better used to save for a new CPU, MB, and Memory for that release?

Hello,

That depends, what feature on the Extreme is it that's tempting you to switch?
13900KS / 8000 CAS36 / ROG APEX Z790 / ROG TUF RTX 4090

At this point I am considering these features which the Extreme adds:

1. Better heatsinks
2. Fan-less MB Cooling
3. Better connectivity for a wired external Storage (family and vacation photos and movies)
4. Possible lower temps for cpu package at load.

Formula is still working and stable now...

but...
