Specs:
Laptop: ASUS TUF F15 (2023)
GPU: NVIDIA 4060
CPU: Intel i7-12700H
Wi-Fi Adapter: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz
Firmware / BIOS Version: FX507ZV4.329
OS: Windows 11 (fully updated)
Issue:
Every few days, the AX201 Wi-Fi adapter fails with either Error Code 10 or Error Code 43. The Wi-Fi icon disappears from the system tray, and in Device Manager the adapter shows a yellow warning icon.
However, the issue is intermittent. The adapter works fine for 3 to 4 days at a time and then disappears again without warning. I don’t think this is a hardware failure because the adapter works flawlessly in between.
This has become extremely frustrating, especially considering the price I paid for the laptop.
What I’ve tried:
I’ve done extensive troubleshooting and I’m confident I have followed each step properly.
Hard reset: disconnected power sources, held the power button for over 45 seconds, and then rebooted
Clean reinstall of drivers: uninstalled both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters from Device Manager, deleted drivers completely, downloaded latest versions from Intel, and reinstalled
Power management changes: edited the registry key PlatformAoAcOverride to 0 at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power, and tried all combinations of the "Allow this device to turn off to save power" option under Device Manager
Network reset through Windows settings
Factory reset from Windows settings
BIOS reset to defaults
Full Windows reinstallation from scratch
Current state:
I’m currently using an external USB Wi-Fi adapter, but it’s noticeably worse in both speed and stability. I really want to go back to using the internal AX201.
Please help me if you have any suggestions. I’m a college student and can't afford a new laptop. This problem keeps affecting my work and studies, and I feel very stuck.

Could a hardware fault with the board having a bad solder contact because of which you are having intermittent issues. If your laptop is under warranty, try RMA and see if you can get a replacement board.

I’m also using the Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz and having the same issues. Especially within the past month, I’ve noticed a lot of people reporting this around the same time, so I don’t think it’s just a simple hardware failure.
In my case, when I switch to a USB Wi-Fi adapter everything works perfectly, which shows that my network and system are fine. This makes me believe the problem is more related to the AX201 driver (or its compatibility with recent Windows updates) rather than the card itself being defective.
Still no fix or reliable solution so far, and having to rely on a USB Wi-Fi adapter that’s much slower compared to the built-in AX201 is really frustrating.
