Intel 750 seems dead after water leakage

I've got an Intel 750 1TB SSD connected to my asus rampage v edition 10 via U.2.

Now I recently did some changes to my water cooling setup and unfortunately it seems some water made its way to the drive.

When I powered up the computer it wouldn't boot and went straight went into BIOS after several seconds of a black screen.

I tried drying the drive with a hairdryer but had no luck with it.

When the drive is connected and the pc is powered on, the drive still gets hot as it usually does but the pc doesn't seem to boot from it.

Is there a way I can tell if the drive still works or if it got destroyed because of it?

Where could I find that information? I reckon the device wouldn't show up in the SMART hdd information anyways.

Thank you very much.

The drive is nowhere to be found.

The water may have also damaged the slot or surrounding components if it ran back towards the board. The only way to know for sure would be to try the drive in another slot or try a different drive in this slot.
