How many storage unit controllers?

Not sure I'm in the right department of forum here so pardon me if this is off topic.

Having recently upgraded various drivers I noticed that I have 4 storage unit controllers installed of which 3 are NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA controllers that appear to be identical. The 4th controller is JMicron JMB36X. Do I really need 3 NVIDIA controllers?

Windows 7 x64
Screen: Samsung SyncMaster 930 BF (dunno if this is relevant)

The chipset is nVidea and that means that all the hard drive controllers will go via the nVidea controllers. You have nothing to worry about, simply ignore.
