Help ! What causes the power surges?

Hi guys. I just got my new pc built, it works all right at first and I installed the win7 64bit and some drivers, however it always automatically reset when I try to run a 3Dmark 2011(it reset itself even during just the loading and I haven't done any overlocks on it yet which means everything should run on default settings) on it and then the screen displayed "power surges". Any suggests on what might cause this?

here are specifications:
Intel Core i5 3570K
Asus MAXIMUS V GENE, Intel Z77, m-ATX
16GB (4x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance
2GB Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce
120GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD, 2.5" SATA
750W PSU, Antec HCP-750 GB High Cur

Many thanks!

Anything plugged into the usb ports? Is the power supply new?:)

Thanks for post.
1) All components are brand new and this psu should be good enough to run this rig (unless it is a fault one).
2) I plugged three things in usb ports: a wifi adaptor, a mouse, a keyboard, however I cant understand why usb device can cause this problem~~

Just ideas.....

I would try disconnecting anything you can and pare the system down to essentials even run one stick of RAM at a time. And uninstall reinstall drivers....but it does sound like a shorting problem.....the message is just "power surges" no other details? Try inspecting cables have good contacts and unplug replug them etc.

Can you try another PSU keyboard mouse...not much else springs to mind. Maybe someone else has a bright idea.

just find a strange thing, After I upgraded the bios to latest version, the default cpu voltage is 1.348v now! There must be something wrong with this bios

Does the message look like it is being generated by the monitor as an integrated message or by the machine attached to the monitor? Another way of asking: does the message appear if the system isn't attached or if it is attached to a different display?
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

It is generated by motherboard and I believe it was the anti-surge protection

I just tried it again, the whole massage is the following:

Power supply surges detected during the previous power on.
ASUS Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply unit!

I would recommend getting a power supply tester or taking it to a PC shop to see if there is something wrong with that PSU. If it's faulty then it could damage the motherboard.

Definitely worth testing that PSU! I've had similar problems but my hardware was already used, so spent a lot of time to test every component before I realized that the PSU is wrong 🙂 Since then, at any power-related issues i'm checking the PSU first...
