I have a Asus Strix GTX1080 Advanced edition, out of nowhere, in the middle of a game, it froze and then wouldn't output any video. After restarting still no video output, the fans spin then stop after couple second and the lights glow on and off orange. I have since tried a different graphics card, another of the same exact card in the same pci lane and same power cords from PSU, and it works perfectly. So I know the problem is with the card. I took the cooler off the card and did a inspection of the main board. I found a defect on one of the PCI pins, and following the wires on the surface of the board they seem to be showing in areas along the path, I have never done anything to scratch the card or damage it, and it wasn't there before, pictures below.
I'm not that experienced with circuit board repair, but it looks to me like something has shorted. I would like to try to fix this myself, but really don't know where to start, If anyone has any ideas please let me know, Thank You
