[HELP] GEN 4 SSD on x570E's 2nd M.2 slot is making Games/Windows crash.

My new 980 Pro SSD (2TB) in the x570E's 2nd M.2 slot is causing games and Windows to crash. This mostly occurs during gaming sessions (Apex Legends, Hunt: Showdown), typically within 5-10 minutes.

A bit of background: Previously, I had a different setup with a 980 Pro (1TB) in the 1st M.2 slot and a 970 Evo Plus (500GB) in the 2nd M.2 slot, which worked fine for over two years.

Recently, I replaced the 970 Evo Plus with the 980 Pro 2TB version in the 2nd slot. Since making this change, my games and Windows have been constantly crashing.

Initially, I suspected the new SSD might be the issue. So I removed it and moved the 1TB 980 Pro to the second slot, leaving the 1st slot empty. Surprisingly, I encountered the same problem. This led me to believe there might be an issue with the 2nd slot. However, my 970 Evo Plus worked perfectly in that slot for over two years.

Here are the steps I've taken to try to solve this problem:

  • Updated CPU/GPU/SSD drivers to the latest versions
  • Updated BIOS to the latest version
  • Re-plugged all PSU cables
  • Fresh install of the OS

My PC Specs:
CPU: 5800X3D
Mobo: ROG Strix X570-E
RAM: G.skill Trident z Neo 32GB(8x4)@3200Mhz
GPU: MSI 2070S GAMING X Trio
PSU: Corsair RM1000x (1000W)
Case: NZXT 710i
AIO: NZXT Kraken X73
Storage:
SSDs: 980 Pro 1TB/2TB, 970 Evo+ 500GB
HDDs: ST4000DM004, WD30EZRX, WD20EZRX

If anyone has faced or has any idea what the issue might be, please help me out. I have been using my last two weekends to fix this issue.

btw, the issue occurs even when there are no OS/games installed on the SSD in the 2nd slot. I noticed that the issue doesn't occur when I delete the volume (via Disk Management), but it arises immediately upon adding the volume. and The BSOD Error message is  "System Thread Exception Not Handled".
