Hello, I have the ROG Asus maximus V Formula board with the 3rd generation Ivy Bridge 3770k cpu. I want to use liquid cooling to take advantage of the onboard vrm cooler however I am having a hard time picking a cpu block. Can anyone tell me wich is the best block between Danger Den Koolance and Ekwb. are these good companies and wich is the best. thanks for the help.

EK is pretty good... And their Supremacy blocks are really cool...

You have to design the water loop in your mind first... in choosing the parts, you have to consider not to mix aluminum with copper in your loop...

I would second that...... the EK block is great! But yes, they are all good companies...

One good way of getting things right for a first time WC is to buy a kit.

I started with THIS from Swiftech, Very happy with the results.

But you can also go for an EK kit for around the same price, or if you need to go a little cheaper, the XSPC kits are good too

The links are all for 360mm Rads and CPU blocks with everything else you need to get a true watercooling loop up and running.
Afterwards, nothing stops you from adding a GPU block or another radiater etc...

Thanks to everyone for your replies and information, it is greatly appreciated.
