hi I have just got a crosshair v formula z motherboard and will the HD7950 work on this because at mo the two fans are spinning but in device manager its only picking up a standard vga card tried installing drivers but its not working any one help please

now did I understand you correctly. you set up diver from amd webpage for 7950 but you're getting the error.

1.uninstall your driver
2.delete all residual vga driver files
3.restart pc
4.set up driver from asus web page
5.restart pc
6.set up driver from amd web page
7.(a)if you are not receiving an installation error
8.set up gpu tweak
9.restart pc
but
7.(b)If you receive an error in the installation
8.(b)look at this link http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx
9.start with step 2

I use this way it work
