This is a very subjective question. No one will able to recommend you unless you tell us what you prefer the Green Camp (Nvidia) or the Red camp (ATI).

For the green (6series)
For the ref (79XX) series.

Both camp still having some issue need to be fix (driver). Search around the forum/web before your final decision.

If your running an intel motherbaord the best choice would be the Nvidia cards:
The GTX 680 will be the right choice, and make sure if your PSU is 600 watts or over.

If your running an AMD motherboard the ATI would be the chest choice:
The Ati 7970 will be the right choice, and make sure your PSU is 550 Watts or higher.

If you have a motherboard that support's sli you can buy 2 and make sure you have a PSU that is 800-1000 Watts.

Hope this helps.

The GTX 580 will still be the best choice because it has an 256-bit memory interface and it will be suitable for games such as Metro, Crysis and so on but the GTX 660ti will do much better performance on BF3, Crysis 2 and more but only by 3-5% percent increase that you will not notice between the two cards. The GTX 580 is still the best it can handle AA much more better than the 660ti because 660ti only has 192-bit memory interface. But it's still a powerful card which is more better and uses less power than the GTX 560ti if people is still on the GTX 560ti.
