I'm quite new to all this and apologise for the noob questions. I have had my G73SW for a while. I'm looking to upgrade the system. I understand the HDD. What/how can I upgrade my graphics card and motherboard with? I've heard there are possible restrictions in doing so. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and gals 🙂

Running geforce gtx460m CUDA 1.5GB. Intel i7-2630QM @2GHz. 8GB RAM. 1.5TB HDD.

Understand there is certain restrictions to size of possible upgrades with the case. Was hoping current technological advancements could work in my favour RE upgrading performance

you have a laptop i guess.
and if so you are limited as f. so to say.
no graphics upgrade unless its in the 4xx line of cards if you are lucky. ( same as you have now)
o ly thing you can do is memory and hdd/ssd.
if you realy want to change and upgrade parts, the best is on home built desktops since laptops are so limited.

Hi. G73SW is upgradeable to any other mobile kepler gpu with right video bios and neccessary heatsink modifications. In fact I have 2 g73SW's one upgraded with msi 770m and other with dell 680m. Both perform like charm in games . On model with 680m i had to Upgrade charger from original 150watt to one with 230watt. Wattmetter recorded when gpu is overclocked and gaming max I have noticed is 229 watt.
Here is link to 3dmark11 score done with 680m on G73SW: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7630058
