Front Panel LED Qusetion

Ok.... I have a Thermaltake overseer RX-I Case...... I have been Painting it to match my motherbaord Maximus VI Formula... Notice that little BLUE light in the center that lights up the Thermaltake Logo..... Well I want to change it to RED to go with the theme of the board. It does not do anything but slowly pulses on/off. It is not any kind of indicator light. Just there for looks. but would look better RED!!

I bought these RED LED's to try and replace the blue light. They are a a perfect match in physical size




but every time I hit it with power it blinks real fast a goes out.. appears to blow the bulb. I am sure I am getting to many volts in this bulb but no sure what voltage bulb to get to make this change work... Any help would be great
