Depending on the DIMMs you are using, it is recommended to populate slots A2 and B2 with two Dimms.
Your DIMM slots have a one side clip and it is important to ensure the offside to the clip is pushed down and secure.
Your symptoms are unusual for me and either there is a problem with your Bios, the MB or incorrect DIMMs, as you should not have to disable in Bios as you describe.
