Five Case Fans to ASUS Maximus VII Hero

Wrolf

This is my first build, I am using a Maximus VII Hero with a Corsair 540Air, and two added Corsair AF140 fans. This is a total of five 3-pin fans. The Hero has four 4-pin PWM case fan headers, of which one is all the way at the bottom, making three usable.

What is the best way to connect these fans to my motherboard?

Would a Silverstone Tek All Black Sleeved One-To-Three PWM Fan Splitter (CPF02) work? Would I get fan speed control?

How about a Evercool EC-DF001, which has molex to connect to PSU, one 4-pin header, four 3-pin headers, and one 4-pin to connect to motherboard for PWM?

Y- cables.
you can get 3 or 4 pin splitters.
you can connect up to 1AMP max per fan header channel.
if you want to use the splitter you listed then i see why not since its gets the power from an external source ( not from mobo ).

If I connect the fans to the PSU, will they just run at 100%?

if you connect them just on the psu it self exept the "controller" you listed then yes.
but the option is to get a fan controller in front bay if that is an option??
dont have to cost mutch realy.
