First Gaming PC Build

Hi I'm currently building my first gaming PC and was wondering if i could get some advice on what graphics card i should get. I want to be able to play games like crysis 3, battlefield etc on maximum settings only using one monitor, I was thinking about getting a 7970 but not sure if its overkill or not. Also would like some feedback on the other components I've decided to get. Thanks

Really like what you have put together so far.

The 7970 is most certainly not overkill unless you will be using your system for word documents and emails 🙂
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Check out the HD7870 XT cost a lot less than HD7950 while have similar performance.
Here is a review
With the HD7870 it's only 2-way CFX and not 4-way CFX, not that you really need it, just letting you know since there is only 1 CFX connector
on the HD7870 vs 2 CFX connector on the HD7950.
For HDD a 7200 rpm drive to pair it with your SSD. Any additional HDD just grab them green drives for storage as they'll probably not be accessed that much.
For DVD burner, any of them is fine. Blu-Ray Burner however go with ones that support BDXL, it can support 100GB Blu-Ray media.

I´ve read, that BF3 will use in excess of 2 gb gpu memory.
