Your budget is too low for a closed WC loop, let alone a custom loop. And it is too expensive for intel.

Stick with the asus hero mobo i've owned 13 asus boards all were great, 2400mhz memory too high I would go with 1866 or 2133 you will never notice the difference unless you're going to bench memory.

Your psu imo the only one to get is a seasonic. A good cpu cooler again imo is a corsair h80i, good luck on your build also welcome to the board..

Welcome to the ROG forums, OGkiller.

CPU - No change needed.

Motherboard - The Maximus VI Hero is one of the best budget gaming motherboard out there right now. It comes with all the latest technology and features that are very attractive for gamers. Definately go with this one.

RAM - I prefer G.Skill over Corsair anyday. Equal if not better performance and at a much lower price. The TridentX 2400MHz kit is the best bang for your buck kit at 2400MHz.

SSD - Not worth RAIDing SSDs for gaming. Having a RAID array will add a few seconds of boot time. My advice? Go for the biggest SSD that you can afford. The Samsung 840 EVOs are excellent SSDs. Look no farther than those.

PSU - Seasonic. End of story. They might cost a little more than any other brand but worth every penny. The Seasonic Platinum line is the cream of the crop.

Go for closed loop for the start of ii ( h100i for example ), if you get a good cpu you can take it to 4.6 and have no problem cooling it.
Gaming i would say an oc around 4.4 would be good.
