first boot fail??

powered system on for the first time and everything powered up, the Mobo, the H100 and the GPU, ............BUT did not hear any bleep after 30secs?

was worried that CPU my be getting frazzled so turned off!

I am using the HDMI output of the GTX680, plugged into my HDMI TV, is that ok?

The NZXT sentry 2 did not power up too?

also the LED readouts on the mobo read 69? any ideas?

It would be helpful to put your system's specs in your signature or something... - it takes time to search your previous threads... 🙂

I think, you hit the classical problem of the x79 platform: the memories... re-seat them and try again...

If the H100 is running, you don't have to worry about the CPU - if you connected the H100's fans to the pump/controller... if you want to use the NZXT sentry for the H100 fans, be sure that you connected the power to it and allowed enough power to the fans...

You were right! managed to get up an running, but i dont get any beep? i thought the mobo always beeps to confirm POST has been passed.

ok i'm in Asus Bios EZ Mode, and its saying my total memory is 8193mb, but i have 16gb ram?

I changed Ram setting so it reads 2000mhz instead of th 1333 it was defaulted at. I also set the boot drive as the Blu Ray player to boot windows

now nothing... confused

How did you changed the RAM setting? By allowing the XMP profile?

Where is the BluRay player connected to the mobo? (which port)

there was a section that allowed me to change the RAM frequency, from AUTO to a list of MHZ speeds, i selectede 2000mhz - prob i done something wrong as i have taken 2 sticks out and it works ok now?

the blu ray is connected into the correct port i am sure, as its intalling windows ok.

update on the update ....took out 2 off the ram sticks (so just have 2x4 gb now) and it started fine...

I recommend you leave one stick of RAM in your mobo and continue booting and rebooting with that single stick in each slot, either one of your modules is faulty...or there is a slot that is not right.

ok got it all up and running with all 4 ram modules in - hooray.... but just quick question, should my mobo have wireless conection built in to connect to broadband? i'm having trouble connecting to the internet and therefore cant download the drivers i need..
