EVGA vs Gigabyte 780

Hey guys,

need a quick advice from you.

I'm thinking about buying new GPU and just saw an amazing price for EVGA 780 Superclocked ACX which is 200$ cheaper right now and it's performance is similiar to Titan from reviews than normally in my country. On the other hand I was thinking about buying GIGABYTE N780GHZ-3GD (GHz Edition) which has the best Clock Frequency 1072 from 780 series and I could get better performance from it but is 200$ more expensive than EVGA.

My rig now:
GIGABYTE GTX 670 OC
Intel Core i5-46705K 4,6 GHz
PSU 620W Seasonic

Which one should I get then? Is it worth to buy the more expensive one? I don't do any GPU OC though.

evga, and up the PSU whit the monney you save.
you have to get a larger PSU no mather who of the cards you are going to get.
prefear a 750W gold.

Think I'll get Seasonic X Series 1050W then, so I've got something future-proof.

My question now is if I should even upgrade or just wait for Maxwell which will be here at the end of the year?

I'm playing on 21:9 (2560x1080) so it's somewhere between 1080p and 1440p. I'm not so sure if it would help me at all. SLI would be a better option I guess but my GTX 670 is not being sold anymore in my country.

you could try a online used part kinda like ebay or amazon?
if you bought a new lets say 780 you could use the 670 as physx card ( non sli bridge ) if that was an option.

Just found the same 670 on ebay. Thinking I'll buy that one (another 670 for SLI).

Wanted to ask if I had 2x670 2Gb SLI, would that mean I have 4GB of Graphics Memory?
For some high texture resolutions in games you need 3Gb card which I can't use right now because I have one 670 so 2Gb, so if i had 2x670 2Gb could I finally use it without lags?

you dont dubble the memory when doing SLI.

Yes, I would go for the EVGA 780 it will probably be on par or better than a pair of 670s and has more VRAM so at higher resolutions will serve you better....good PSU choice too...for if you ever want to go 780 SLI...

I agree the evga is the best choice, They also have the best customer support..
