Does Noctua NH-D14 fit on Maximus V Extreme?

I need some advice on what CPU air cooler to get that would fit on the Maximus V Extreme and still allow me to use all 4 memory slots.I was considering the Noctua NH-D14 but someone posted in another forum thread that the NH-D14 prevents the use of the first DIMM slot on the Maximus V Formula. It looks like the Formula has the same spacing between the CPU and DIMM slots as the Extreme based on looking at pictures of them.I don't know the actual measurements though.I've already contacted Noctua and asked them if their cooler will fit and still let me use all 4 DIMM slots and they said that the heatsink will protrude over the first slot but it could still be populated with memory that is less than 44 mm.I have purchased G.Skill Ripjaws Z memory which is 42 mm in height so I am ready for that requirement.
If anyone could confirm that they have successfully installed the NH-D14 on the Maximus V Extreme motherboard with all 4 DIMM slots populated I would appreciate it.I am a bit concerned about my ability to install a video card in the future if I am able to use the Noctua since the company told me the fan clips may touch the back of most video cards.Does anyone have any comments regarding issues they may have had with their videocard and the Noctua cooler?Any suggestions on an alternative air cooler to get that would give me similar performance to the Noctua while avoiding the RAM and videocard clearance issues are welcome. Thanks to anyone that responds!

I can't edit my original post with my iPod Touch for some reason so I have to reply to add this info:
I'm going to use the Intel i7-3770k and Cooler Master ATC 840 case.

Although not the same im using a Phanteks PH-TC14PE cooler on a Rampage IV Extreme Board and Dominator GT Ram although I did have to remove the red fins on top ram is 54mm tall with the fins and 43mm without. the heat sink fins cler the top of the ram but the fans had to be raised a little.

As for the video card if u get one with a backplate then there is no issue with the fan clips.

hope this helps? here are a few pics

GSkill Ripjaws Z will fit under the Noctua NH-D14... and you can put some tape on the fan brackets to prevent them from scratching (actually making a short would be a bigger issue, but the tape will resolve that too)

Good idea. Hit my head for not thinking of that.

Oh, it's not my idea... I saw this tape method somewhere here in the Forum... and I'm using it too - until now no scratches, no shorts... 🙂
