I have an LG Flatron W2246S monitor. In the past, when the PC shutdown the monitor would enter stand by. However, after moving the monitor from my GPU output to a display output on my motherboard, after shutdown the monitor displays a message stating that there is no signal. Why would its behaviour have changed from entering stand by to constantly displaying this message? I cannot find any reference to this behaviour in the firmware settings for the monitor. Someone on a different forum suggested it might be because the motherboard isn't completely shutting down and suggests clearing the CMOS but I estimate the chances of clearing the CMOS of solving my problem to be about 0% and wasting my time re-entering my settings about 100%! Thanks.
