I have the rog maximus x hero and I have the samsung 970 evo plus 2T m.2 on it as PCIE.

I'm trying to figure out what settings in this bios can achieve "directstorage". Right now it is set as "intel rst optane..." . Should it be on "SCHI" instead. Right now in xbox game bar in settings it show c:\ as non-NVMe drive.  I don't do RAID.

Hi @rolly123 Intel RST Optane is meant for SATA drives. This is why you are not seeing the higher NVMe speeds.

If you can, do a fresh Windows install with VMD disabled in BIOS and during Windows installation DO NOT load any Intel drivers. Just install Windows. This will setup Windows properly with your drive being detected as NVMe.
