Is there a difference? I see the same models of GPUs for the same price just one is by ASUS and one by MSI, so I am wondering what I would want to go for in a situation like that?
if its reference cards you can buy what ever you want since it is only a sticker and diffrent boxes that differs them. but when it comes to after market coolers then there is the noise. cooling +++. and what not that comes in to the equation. some is a lill oc'd too from factory.
I buy which ever reference card is the cheapest. All reference cards came out of the same factory and then is shipped to the vendor who will slap a label on before putting in a branded box.
None-reference is another matter. There I am very selective who I use and is dependant on my need.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.
I'll tell ya' one thing, only one can be the best, and all I can say about msi is this....
I hope that says it all for you...
If not, then here's an explanation:
General opinion:
They try and trick you into buying their components by advertising half-naked girls on their videos.
It's not me who said this, it's everyone on youtube, it has only 50% likes, and there are huge hate comments.
Many peoplesay they sell low-quality components that work well at first, but fail after a short while, like OCZ.
As for ASUS, they, as many say, give the best quality in components (I personally have never picked any other company other than ASUS for motherboards). And epic performance once you have the "bob" to buy a decent motherboard. 🙂
On the other hand, after plenty of research, I could see that many people who have bought from then, have been disappointed after time...
Personal opinion:
So... the option is yours, I'm far from a fan-boy of ASUS, because I do like EVGA as-well, for example, but ASUS is at the moment, the leader. As for msi, it's not the best, although I will not say I hate it. (That's my personal opinion)
Lastly, what do you expect people to say when you're on an RoG Forum? 😉

Brilliant! Thanks for the link...it worked on me I am now contemplating contemplating the near total impossibility of buying an MSI mother board. Great dubbing don't you think.
Love the thumb on the CPU contacts...and is it me but when she fits the first stick of RAM does the left end not go in (as you look at it).
Favourite quote: "hold the power supply...careful! its heavy!"

She was stating the obvious to extreme levels like: "Oh, be careful, it's heavy!"
And epic fails like: "Make sure you don't touch the pins!" And then she touches them?
She is obviously just reading a script, but is failing to actually do the things right! 😛
Which means I have lost total faith in them, if they are bringing dumb "ladies" into their office to make their PCs, laptops, etc.
What kind of impression are they trying to make?
