Hi all,
I've just ordered the display of my dreams - the LG OLED 48 CX (OLED48CX9LB) - which will hopefully arrive somewhen in may.
However I see connectivity issues on the horizon.
My setup is powered by an ASUS ROG Strix 2080 Ti OC 11 GB.
This card features 2 x HDMI (Native) (HDMI 2.0b) and 2 x display port (Native) (DisplayPort 1.4) connectivity.
The LG display features 4 x HDMI 2.1.
I want to run the display at its' native 4k@120Hz. (noteworthy, I would also like to appreciate its' HDR 10 capabilities)
A quick look at HDMI specifications show that 120 Hz @ 4k was introduced with HDMI 2.1.
Displayport 1.4 SHOULD be able to handle 4k@120Hz, however I couldn't find any specific converter or cable that claims to can handle it.
Do you have any advice which would be the best way to connect the devices?
Thanks a lot in advance and kind regards
Sven
