Connecting RGB LED strips (Maximus IX Formula).

Hi All,

I have the new Maximus IX formule and enjoyed playing with the lights. So much that I bought a glass sidepannel for my Cooler Master Cosmos II.

I know where to connect the strips on the board (4 pin) and with the motherboard there came 1 x 80cm male - female cable.

I bought 2 x 30cm CableMod RGB strips: https://cablemod.com/product/cablemod-widebeam-magnetic-rgb-led-strip-30cm/

I am wondering:
- do I need the cable supplied with the motherboard?
- if so, where can I get a second one (I am in europe)

thank you*

You don't have to use the supplied extension cable but it's useful since it's 80cm long.

Hi Chino,*

thank you for your reply, does that mean the RGB strips come with a cable?*
