Sorry for asking alot but i tryed to understand the manual but failed somehow..
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1200/ROG_MAXIMUS_XIII_EXTREME/E17684_ROG_MAXIMUS_XIII_EXTRE...I got the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XIII EXTREME LGA1200 ATX motherboard
And i installed 3 x samsung 980 pro m.2 drives on the motherboards m_1 m_2 and m_3 ports.
It seems like these ports shares bandwidth with the gpu pcie 16 x or 8 x pcie.
I dont use any SSD at all and i disabled these drives in the bios.
Then i got a 3080 ti aorus OC extreme gpu with a vertical riser 4.0 gen pcie.
When i look in GPU z then my card is running 8 x pcie 4.0 gen
Do i miss out some performance vs 16 pcie 4.0 and how much ?
What about the 4090 cards and the gen 4 riser with this setup ?
Would i loose alot of performance ?
My soon to come 4090 card would prolly also run pcie 8 x 4 gen
Since i installed all these M.2 to avoid cables and ssd
😄So woul di miss out alot of performance ?
I mainly play mmorpg games and games like Elden ring.
Also if i install 2 more M.2 drives on the Dimm2 block and disable sata in bios then both m.2 will run 4 x right ?
From the manual:
"DIMM.2_2 shares bandwidth with SATA6G_34. SATA6G_34 will be disabled if DIMM2_2 is in x4 PCIe mode"
