I think the best way is to uninstall it; then blow it out with a can of air and then run water over the radiator until all the dust bunnies are gone.

Clean the heatsink, processor, apply new TIM and let it rip once again.

Additionally, after you cleaned it, you could use some washable dust filters for your intake fans... then you will need to clean only them and no need to disassemble the whole system... 🙂

You know those covers on the front of speakers? I found a roll of that stuff and I cut out a couple sections and put them on the front/top grill plates of my phantom 410. Having built my rig less than a month ago I'm already noticing buildup of dust inside my case so hopefully this will help. I'm going to clean out my case and see how much of a difference it makes and also do some benchmarks to see if I get any change in temps seeing that I have my H100 rad top mounted underneath the grill. It should hold me over until I find some 3M filters that I like. I just hope I don't decrease the lifespan of my fans too bad by making them work harder. (wish they would have called it the phantom 420 instead of 410 lol sounds better phonteically as well as.. you know =P)

Just be sure that the speaker mesh doesn't touch the blades... other than that... don't worry regarding the fans! However, do check the temps more frequently as clogged mesh would block the airflow - which will kill other, more expensive, components before your fans would die...

Fill it with 5% gas, and throw a spark?

That should blow away all the residues?

if you dont have an air compressor handy, or dont feel like paying $.25 for air at a gas station, canned air works. you really dont have to uninstall it but it would blow crap back in the case.
