Hello everybody 🙂
I recently bought an Asus ROG Maximus z790 Extreme and a Core i9 14900KF now i need to bought a RAM kit. My new plateform it's for game with my New NVidia Surround (triple PG27AQDM) and job with software like Revit, Autocad, Photoshop, Endscape (normally soon V-Ray) and i think a OC.
I saw 3 three memory kit:
I saw on the characteristic of my new motherboard is dual channel and in this forum i saw put 4 stick RAM can cause instability and issues.
For me, i want a very good RAM kit with very good design and my first choice is for Kingtson Renegade, i love them.
I want to know for the frequency, capacity, number of stick ?
Thanks 😁

IC = intergrated circuit, in this case the semiconductor type used for that particular kit. 24GB modules are SK-Hynix m-die. These like high frequency over 32GB ic and as a result, often net better resuls with users when not wanting to tune manually out of the box.

Hey @GhostR1d3r
As you are doing editing and CAD work, can I ask just how much memory you expect to need? Requiring a higher capacity may restrict you to specific XMP kits.

Hello Silent Scone,
Actually on my rampage vi apex i have 4 corsair dominator platinum rgb 3600mhz (4×16).
So i think 64GB is the maximum i don't need more.
First my computer is for planning games with my new nvidia surround.
Second it's for my futur job when i need to be at home but it's not every day (actually i'm on a training center for this futur job).
I hope you understand my english 😁😁😁

Would 48GB be enough? If not, look at the Extreme's Memory QVL at some of the 2x48GB kits. Please note that opting for 4 DIMM kits will limit your overclocking range.

Yes i am thinking between 38GB or 64GB but i am sure i must bought à dual kit and not à quad kit ?

For a better chance of success XMP overclocking with high-density kits, opt for 2-DIMM.

Ok so for example this memory kit, with RGB and very good design:

I would stick to the 48 and 96GB kits, these IC prefer high frequency.

when you say IC is for integrated controller of the CPU. So if i understand with my CPU i need higher frequency. It's possible to put 2 kit dual stick memory with high frequency for example to have 4x16 or 4x24?
A kit like that:
