put one in my case today, set it for voice activation. picks up my voice 10 feet away but wont pick up my pc speaker 1 foot away. kind of disappointed. tried moving the mic right next to the speaker but didnt help. good thing i didnt buy 2! any advice?

Thanks! Low frequency sounds are easier to pick up. The higher the frequency, the more processing power required. Likelihood is that the lights are sampling ambient audio at a low frequency to cut down on processing requirements and price. Even with a low sampling frequency, it is possible to pick up high frequencies, but they are often fainter and harder to pick up.

Besides which, isn't it far cooler to have the lights flash to the hard beat of combat tunes when the big bog turns the corner? 🙂

Set it to just be on and off with the pc. Trust me it will start to get on your nerves after a while flashing on and off.

yeah thats what i was for hoping for, machine guns activate the tube, not sure what i will do. i was gonna move it behind the monitor but the power cables are way too short.
