Build with new Ivy Bridge or Sandy Bridge

I am in the process of building a killer PC. I have a Cooler Master HAF X case. I was going to buy a ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z with a Core I7 2700K. Now that I've heard about the new Ivy Bridge CPU's I am considering a Core i7-3770K. My question is will this processor work in the motherboard above,ie is there a BIOD update that will make them compatible, or should I get the ASUS P8Z77 WS which is not an ROG product per se. I should also mention that I have an ASUS Mars II video card. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Here it is. Finally finished.

If you go with the 3770k, then yes, you may need to update the BIOS (depending which version it has on it)... However, I would stick with the 2700k... - it's a proven good CPU, while it's known about the 3770k that has some thermal weakness due to it's design...

I asked my original question a bit prematurely. After doing some more research on the ASUS site there are two top end Z77 boards available, the P8Z77-V Premium and the ROG Maximus V Formula. The rest of my build looks like this:

CASE Coolermaster HAF X

I think with the Mars II video card I will need the extra length of the Maximus. Does anyone out there know these two boards and can give me a recommendation should I decide to go with the 3770K?

You can try Sandy Bridge-E, i7-3930K isn't too bad anyway.

unclepauly28, I would go with the Asus maximus V Formula...

NiMx1233, the mobos suggested by the OP have LGA1155 sockets for the CPU... the 3830k (Sandy Bridge-E CPUs) are LGA2011... they won't match...
