Build ADD. I could use some advice.

Not sure if this is the right forum so if not please feel free to yell at me and move the thread.

I am trying to worth through some Build ADD.

Currently I have a pretty nice Z77 build with the following specs.

i5 3570K
Asus Maximus V Formula
H100i Closef loop cooler
16 GB of Gskill Sniper Series Ram
Gigabyte 680 Windforce edition and a Reference 680 in SLI
EVGA 1000G Power Supply.
Coolermaster Storm Stryker case
27" Apple Cinema Display.

I love 1440P gaming and the computer runs well overall. The only problem I have is with MWO which is not SLI capable so it runs at sub optimal FPS.

Here is my conundrum. I have the desire to build/change/modify things. I have an Asus P8z77 -v Pro and an MSI z77a-gd65 sitting around here. Along with some Memory, an ATI video card, a Haf 932 case, a couple good power supplies, and most importantly an i3 processor of some sort. So a part of me wants to build up another machine just to screw around with. Another part of me says to sell off all the extra crap and buy a 780ti

However with the new new z97 series stuff coming out I wonder if I would be better served holding out for the VII Formula or Extreme and the new Devils Canyon K series chips.

If you were me with this stuff laying around what would you do right now?

To break it down my options are as follows.
*Build up a second machine just for the hell of it.
*Sell off the extra stuff to fund a 780ti and replace my 680Sli cards.
*Sell off the extra stuff and wait for the new high end z97 stuff to come out.
*Stop screwing around and do nothing. 🙂
*Shut up and stop asking stupid question.

well do you have enny use for the things you have laying around there?
mabye sell it and if you buy the new Z97 use the current pc as file server if that is an option? or a HTPC ??

The only thing I would use it for is a HTPC or backup machine. But honestly I use my appleTV for most media stuff so..... Yeah..

The smart thing to do right now is get a GTX 780Ti and wait for the MVII Formula and Devil's Canyon CPUs.

I agree with Chino. Best option is to buy a better card and then save up for when the rest of the MVIIx lineup is released.
