I had the whole system up and running last night. It hung (twice) on the first Passmark bench at the DirectX 10 test.
Oh, and both my serial numbers i have tried to register with have been 'wrong'(?)
Any live help would be greatly appreciated. System smarter than owner...

When you refer to serial numbers, you refer to the motherboard and ?

If you do not think your motherboard is new, and you bought new I would contact your retailer who sold you the motherboard and if not satisfied with the response, then contact ASUS Australia directly.

Now as to the 'fail' of the benchmark/stress test you did, was your system running at stock? That includes your ram by the way. I see you have 8BG X2 in your list of hardware, is that one kit or two kits?
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

"8Gig Corsair Vengeance at 1600 x2" this leads me to believe he has two, if so this is where your problem lies.

Could also be two 8GB sticks one kit

Thanks for that guys. I could have made the RAM spec clearer. I have two kits. Each kit is 16gig split into 2x8. I have seen on
the forum for the first time tonight that there is a reason behind why RAM is also offered in 4 stick kits.
That would be a faster set-up right? I have noted Chrsplmr’s advice on Dominator GT sticks in the Marine thread below mine. I have taken one set (8x2) out of the mobo.

HiVizMan: it was the mobo AND gpu that I was refering to for the serial numbers. Everything was bought from “PC OnLine” in
their Sydney store (face to face). I suspect both products are USED. They were sold as NEW. Will keep the forum updated on this one. Any other reasons why the serial numbers could be rejected? Temporary website issue? Regarding the RAM, it was two
separate kits of 16gig. Both kits were in for the PassMark test. Now one kit is in my old PC…
