Booting from device connected to Thunderbolt port?

Looking into picking up a board with Thunderbolt ports. Maybe the Z690-i.

If I connect a Thunderbolt dock to one of those ports then a bootable Win11 install drive or Windows OTG drive to the dock, will the motherboard be able to boot from it?
