Best 32Gb DDR4 and M.2 SSD for Asus Z170-a or Deluxe?

Hi, I'll be upgrading my P8Z77V-Deluxe with either Z170-a or Deluxe version+6770K CPU. I'd appreciate your feedback as to what is the best
32Gb DDR4 kit since I read numerous compatibility issues even with Asus recommended sticks.
Also I'd appreciate your advice with what M.2 AHCI or Nvme SSD to purchase (I will install the OS in the M.s for faster performance)
Thanks.

Hello perseid

If you're going with a z170 board I will recommend this ram.

I forgot to ask you, your suggested RAM is 32Gb in a 2x16Gb config. Is this compatible? Or do I need 4x8Gb? If 2x16 is compatible then it'd be better
as it leaves room for a future 64Gb upgrade.
Also, that particular RAM is not listed in the Asus Official QVL, but I guess that does not mean lack of compatibility.

Thanks Nate, unfortunately the RAM you suggest shows out of stock, any alternative?
Regarding the M.2 SSD, I need to purchase it within the next week at the latest, any release date for the Samsung 950 Pro? And as of now, is the Samsung SM951 AHCI good enough?

The G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 2400 kit is a good choice as well and it's a little cheaper. 🙂

Thanks, seems that the Trident Z is popular, few units remain.
I googled and read at various sites that the 950 Pro will be released mid october, so soon to be available!

yeah, it might be worth the wait if you can.

samsung sm951 (AHCI) - read 2150 mb/s - write 1200 mb/s

Samsung 950 pro (NVMe)- read 2500 mb/s - write 1500 mb/s

if you want to upgrade on a later time.
get a new kit.
this is becouse its not recommended to mix kist even how similar it looks alike.
a kit is tested so its works.
mix two and they are not tested up at each others and you may end up whit problems.
bsod left to right if unlucky.
you have to tweak the ram for it to work.
so best advice is get the amount of ram you need in a single kit.
